Admissions Process

On October 8th parents and carers will receive a letter from the Local Authority inviting them to apply for a place at secondary school for September 2019.

The letter will contain instructions on how to access the LA website and make an application online.

An application MUST be made by the deadline even if you live in the catchment and your child attends one of our partner primary schools.

All applications must be made by the 30th November deadline.

Pentrehafod School is a popular school with three out of our five year groups full.  Our current Year 7 has a waiting list so it is vital that you make the application by the deadline date.

Parents and carers will be notified by the Local Authority on 1st March 2019 if their application has been successful.

You can appeal the decision. This must be done by 29th March 2019.

The Local Authority or school does not provide transport.

Please note that pupils with a Statement of Additional Learning Needs and those pupils applying for a place in our Speech and Language Facility are dealt with in a separate process by the Local Authority.
