British Heart Foundation Fundraising Year

Please read Robyn’s story and thanks to all for contributing in 2016/2017.

After celebrating the new year, it was brought to my attention that this year would be 10 years since my dad passed away and I felt that it was time to do something in his honour. I chose the British Heart Foundation because my dad died due to a heart-attack. After lots of planning and multiple discussing were held with the student parliament, the first event was a fundraising event on Valentine’s Day. This included selling Valentine’s Day cards, roses, and love heart sweets. Later on in the year, the was another fundraising event. This involved throwing wet sponges at teachers (including the head teacher). This event was a huge success. A contribution was given from the PACE team from selling fidget spinners that the PACE students made themselves. I am very grateful to everyone that participated and donated.
