Food Technology

There have been lots of exciting projects going on in Food Technology over recent months.

Year 8’s were busy making some spooooky spicy pumpkin soup for Halloween. They all worked together to make a healthy meal which was enjoyed by all!

KS3 pupils enjoyed some festive baking, whilst Year 10 pupils learnt how to make Swiss rolls in the lead up to Christmas.

Year 7 pupils have been learning about the importance of the 5-a-day rule and a balanced diet.  They have made some delicious fruit pizzas,  nutritious salads and completed some sensory analysis food testing as part of their healthy eating project.  They tried a variety of fruits and vegetables such as peppers, kiwi, melon and cucumber. The class favourites were the strawberries and kiwi fruit.  They then designed some posters to show examples of things we could eat that count towards the 5-a-day day rule.
