    July 2020

    Dear Year 11 Parents/Carer

As you know, on March 20th, 2020 the school close to all its students. This was difficult for all students, but very hard for our year 11 cohort.

This year group did not sit their GCSEs and did not have an end of year school Prom. As I write it has not been possible to plan an additional event due to current social distancing laws in Wales. It was a very different year for our class of 2020

All year 11 students received a detailed report at the end of January 2020. As we have not formally assessed students since early March, we are not able to provide you with another report. However, if you would like to receive another copy of this report then please contact reception.

Your 11 will still have a formal results day on Thursday 20th of August when they will be able to come to school to pick up their GCSE outcomes. These outcomes come from centre assessed grades, based on previous controlled assessments and other submitted work over their time in school.

Due to social distancing, we will need to ensure that all students can receive their results safely.  Please can your son/daughter attend school at the right slot below:

    Surname : A-F 50 students 9am – 10am

    Surname: G-L 51 students 10am – 11am

    Surname: M-P 47 students 11am – 12pm

    Surname: Q-Z 54 students 12pm – 1pm

I hope you are you and your family have a safe and relaxing summer. We also wish all our year 11 students every success for their next steps.

Please so not hesitate to get in touch if you feel they need additional support,

    Yours faithfully,

    Jennifer Ford
