Update regarding Home-Learning Resources
Dear Parent/Guardian,
In order to support your child with home-learning at this time, Pentrehafod staff have put together a menu of appropriate work which can be accessed from home. The work can either be completed on-line or downloaded and printed out. Currently, there is approximately 6-8 weeks of work available, and this will be updated at regular intervals during the coming weeks.
Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8)
All students have been allocated a home-learning pack covering a range of topics. There is approximately 2 weeks of work in this resource.
In addition to this, all Key Stage 3 students have been added to the Key Stage 3 Microsoft Team, which can be accessed via HWB. Here you will find three folders: One for Year 7; One for Year 8 and a General folder with work suitable for either age-group.
Some subject teachers have also uploaded work onto Padlets and subject-specific Microsoft Teams within their area, of which, your child is now a member.
Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11)
All Key Stage 4 students can access resources relevant to their GCSE courses through subject-specific Microsoft Teams via HWB. They are encouraged to complete assignments intermittently and upload these for assessment by their teachers as requested.
Information on where to find the teaching and learning resources provided by the school can be found by selecting the link to “Home-Learning” at the top of the home screen on the website.
Information on how to access home-learning resources via Microsoft Teams using HWB can be found at: https://hwb.gov.wales/distance-learning
