Year 9 – Renewable Energy Workshop
Last week, year 9 pupils had the opportunity to work with Careers Wales to create a prototype for a product that creates renewable energy. The pupils worked together to design some unique ideas which they presented to their STEM mentor. The winning team, E- Kinetic, designed a system that would use speed bumps in the road to convert kinetic energy into electricity. The judges were really impressed by their design and the way that they presented their ideas. E- Kinetic will now compete against other schools in Swansea to showcase their design on the 24th of January at Swansea Waterfront Museum.
