All student-voice to be co-ordinated through one structured system, supporting both horizontal and vertical lines of communication. The system will enable pupils to take leadership roles, with minimum teacher facilitation. The channels of communication will filter up/down and across so that pupil voice from students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, directly links to school improvement planning.
Cabinet Leaders:
Head Boy/Head Girl to Chair: plus minister/deputy minister from each department. Meet each half term with HT. HB/HG attend all GB meetings.
Student Cabinet (Vertical):
Four Departments to mirror the four sub-committees of the Governing Body. Members of the YC apply to HB/HG to become members of the departments. 2 pupils from each year group to be appointed to each. Departments to appoint a Minister and Deputy Minister (Secretary). Each department will “line-manage” any other pupil groups or forums (TBA).
Meet monthly. 2 members to attend sub-committee Governing Body meetings each term.

Five Year Councils (Horizontal):
2 students elected from each tutor group. Each council will have a Chair and Secretary. YLs to facilitate. Fortnightly meetings (day to be confirmed and consistent). One registration each week to be devoted to pupil voice.
