Area of Learning and Experience Leader: Mrs J. Smith
Vision for AoLE:
Mathematics is essential for everyday life and understanding our world. It is therefore fundamentally important to ensure that all pupils have the best possible mathematics education. They need to understand the mathematics they learn so they can be creative in solving problems, as well as being confident and fluent in developing and using the mathematical skills so valued in the world of industry and higher education.
Students are the priority and we aim to make every decision from the point of view: “What is in the best interest of our students?” We are a successful department, but we are a team that seeks to improve and which aims to be the best.

Year 7 - 10 WJEC Blended Learning Resources
Blended learning resources combine high-quality classroom teaching with interactive digital tools to support students both in school and at home. In mathematics, this approach allows learners to practise skills at their own pace, receive immediate feedback, and revisit key concepts whenever needed. By integrating online platforms with face-to-face instruction, we create a flexible and engaging learning experience that supports progress, builds confidence, and helps every student achieve their full potential.
