Vision for AoLE:

In the Science and Technology area of learning experience, we aim to provide engaging lessons with the best possible learning experiences. Pupils will be challenged with the highest of expectations in their lessons. Practical skills will be developed throughout Science and Technology to promote progress and lifelong learning. As such, throughout their learning journey in Science and Technology, we aim for pupils to be:
 Ambitious and capable learners.
 Enterprising and creative contributors.
 Ethical and informed citizens.
 Healthy and confident individuals.

Science
Product Design

Curriculum Information:
Science – Years 7 and 8 complete topics linked to the new curriculum for Wales, these include cells, electricity, rates of reaction, and waves. In years 9-11 Pupils complete either GCSE Science (Double Award), GCSE Applied Science (Single Award), GCSE Triple Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)

Product Design – Years 7 and 8 are on a carousel of lessons, Pupils develop skills in identifying needs and problem solving to find a solution that meets the needs of a user.

In years 9-11 Pupils have the option to complete GCSE Design and Technology – Product Design.
